Transportation Services contracts with the California DMV and collections agencies to pursue collection on unpaid citations. Information gathered by other means may be used to collect. Your student fee bill or payroll could be charged. Also, your vehicle may be subject to immobilization.
You have 5 business days from the date of your appeal submission to get your HARDCOPY evidence to our office. At this time, we cannot accept electronic evidence. You may fax a legible copy of your evidence. Be sure to write your name, citatin number or license plate and state on your evidence. Indicating evidence in your appeal but failing to submit evidence will result in an automatic denial. Transportation Services will not request evidence. If you believe you have evidence to substatiate your claim, submit the evidence with your appeal.
Yes you will, even if there is no sign indicating the meter is broken, if the meter is broken you WILL be ticketed for parking there. If the meter is malfunctioning upon your arrival you must locate another functioning meter. If the meter malfunctions after you’ve parked seek a Transportation Services employee at a gate, at our office, or via DPS to inform them of the malfunction. A representative will respond to verify the malfunction and advise you of the outcome.

All parking citations that are not paid within the first 21 days of the issue date are assessed a fine doubling the original amount, a collection fee may be added.
If you have never owned the vehicle, and the descroption does not match, submit an appeal online stating such. If you have owned the vehicle but sold it before the citation, or purchased it after citation, fax, mail or bring to our office a declaration of non-ownership (Release of Liability, Bill of Sale) showing the date of the transaction. Please submit a citation appeal form with the necessary information on it and it will be reviewed by a enforcement supervisor.
Make full payment and submit your second appeal letter to the Citation Review Board (CRB). The CRB is a panel of USC students, staff and faculty members. The panel will read your appeal, deliberate and render its decision. All CRB decisions are final. Note: This process could take up to eight weeks.
